Applications Open: Manitoba Music Hip Hop Showcase
Manitoba Music is currently seeking artists for a hip hop focused showcase on May 31, 2018. The showcase is a part of a hip hop professional development workshop.
Applicants will be expected to participate in the workshop on May 30, the one-on-one meetings on May 31 and be available to perform a 30-minute set on May 31.
The deadline for applications is April 5, 2018.

Project WILD 2018 Applications Now Open!
Alberta Music and WILD 953 have paired up once again to launch the 2018 season of Project WILD. The artist development program is designed to educate, promote, develop and launch the careers of Alberta’s most up and coming country and roots artists.
Submissions will remain open until Friday, April 20.

Call for Submissions: CIMA at A2IM Indie Week 2018
This year, A2IM will be hosting their 13th edition of A2IM Indie Week 2018 in New York City from June 18-21, 2018. CIMA is pleased to announce that we will be joining A2IM’s Indie Week 2018 and organizing a business development mission to NYC for Canadian independent music companies.

Join Music Export Canada’s Business Initiative at The Great Escape 2018
This year, Music Export Canada will be staging CANADA HOUSE at The Great Escape (TGE), at The Green Door Store in Brighton, England from May 17-19, 2018.
Once again, we are offering business packages to Canadian companies to attend and participate in professional activities in London and Brighton.

Last Chance for Submissions: CIMA’s Business and Showcase Mission to Mexico
Complementing our 2017 study on Latin America, CIMA will be conducting our first-ever mission to Mexico surrounding the FIMPRO festival and conference. Working with FIMPRO, CIMA will organize a showcase and business initiative to Guadalajara from May 22-28, 2018 with 6-8 Canadian delegates and their artists. CIMA will also organize a pre-event in Mexico City focusing on showcasing and networking for select mission participants.
Please note: We have extended the deadline due to additional funding for participating companies through Global Affairs Canada’s GOA program. Applications that have been previously submitted are in the process of being reviewed.

Wrap Up Report: CIMA at SXSW 2018
This March, CIMA returned to the highly influential SXSW music festival in Austin, TX with a delegation of 21 Canadian music companies and 25 artists for a showcase and business mission that included: the Canadian Blast BBQ, 2-days of Canada House, a Meet the Canadians networking reception and 2-days of Country Connections B2B sessions.
This year Canada House became a “one stop shop” for Canadian delegates and their artists as the Canadian Blast BBQ moved from Brush Square to Swan Dive on Red River St.

Join CIMA’s Fifth Annual Business & Showcase Mission to the Americana Music Festival & Conference
CIMA will once again be returning to the Americana Music Festival and Conference in Nashville for a Canadian Blast showcase and business mission in September 2018.
Presented by Music Export Canada, CIMA will be hosting a Canadian Blast daytime showcase at InDo from noon-6pm on Saturday, September 15, 2018. This is an excellent opportunity for 6-8 Canadian bands to showcase to festival delegates and attendees.
The deadline to apply is May 25, 2018.

Call for Showcase Applications: Canada House at Reeperbahn 2018
CIMA is excited to be heading back to Germany for Reeperbahn 2018. We’ll once again be hosting a seventh installment of Canada House and presenting showcases. This is a fantastic opportunity to access the 3rd largest worldwide music market with Reeperbahn attracting thousands of artists and music industry professionals from across the globe.
We’re currently looking for bands/artists that can showcase at this year’s Canada House, so here’s your chance!
