The 35th installment of Canadian Music Week will take place on April 18-22, 2016. For the 35th edition, Canadian Music Week will shine a spotlight on France, while the special focus will be on Italy.

Manitoba Music is working alongside Downtown Winnipeg BIZ on the musical component of ManyFest, which will take over Broadway in Winnipeg from September 9-11, 2016. Manitoba Music is also working with CBC Manitoba on its series of noon hour concerts in Winnipeg this summer. Part of the Downtown Winnipeg Biz Farmer’s Market, the events will take place every Thursday in August. All events are free and open to the public.

MusicOntario is launching its second annual Canadian Songwriter Challenge in partnership with the Bell Media National Songwriting Initiative and Canadian Council of Music Industry Associations. The event will be hosted by MetalWorks Recording Studio and will take place between July 26-28, 2016.
